67.1 Kg To Lbs — What's Your BMI?
67.1 kilograms equals 147.9 pounds. However, your BMI — and whether this weight is healthy — depends entirely on your height. At the same weight, a person who is 5ft tall will have a significantly different BMI than someone who is 6ft tall. Use our free BMI calculator above to find your personal BMI instantly, or see examples across common UK heights below to understand where you fall in the NHS weight categories.

What Is BMI and Why Does It Matter?
Body Mass Index (BMI) is the most widely used screening tool for assessing whether your weight falls within a healthy range. Used by the NHS, GPs, and weight management services across the UK, BMI provides a quick snapshot of your weight relative to your height. The formula is simple: your weight in kilograms divided by your height in metres squared (kg/m²).
While BMI isn't a perfect measure — it doesn't account for muscle mass, bone density, or fat distribution — it remains the standard first step in identifying potential weight-related health risks including type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, and certain cancers.
The NHS also recommends adjusted thresholds for people of South Asian, Chinese, or Black African heritage — a BMI of 23 or above is classified as overweight, and 27.5 as obese. Our calculator includes this adjustment as a one-click toggle.
67.1 Kg BMI At Different Heights
At 67.1 kg, your BMI varies considerably depending on your height. Here are examples across typical UK adult heights:
- 5ft (152 cm): BMI 29.0 — Overweight (NHS category)
- 5ft 4in (163 cm): BMI 25.3 — Overweight (NHS category)
- 5ft 6in (168 cm): BMI 24.3 — Healthy weight (NHS category)
- 5ft 8in (173 cm): BMI 22.4 — Healthy weight (NHS category)
- 5ft 10in (178 cm): BMI 21.2 — Healthy weight (NHS category)
- 6ft (183 cm): BMI 20.1 — Healthy weight (NHS category)
As you can see, the same weight delivers very different health profiles at different heights. This is why BMI is calculated using both weight and height together. To convert 67.1 kg to stone, it equals approximately 10 stone 8 pounds — useful when checking against UK weight charts or discussing your weight with your GP.

NHS BMI Categories & What They Mean
The NHS uses these standard BMI categories for UK adults:
- Below 18.5: Underweight
- 18.5–24.9: Healthy weight
- 25.0–29.9: Overweight
- 30.0–34.9: Obese (Class I)
- 35.0–39.9: Obese (Class II)
- 40.0+: Severely obese (Class III)
Important: BMI is a screening tool but has limitations — it does not distinguish between muscle and fat, so athletes may have a high BMI with low body fat. For adults of South Asian, Chinese, Black African, or Black Caribbean heritage, the NHS recommends lower BMI thresholds due to higher cardiovascular risk at the same BMI. Your GP can give you personalised guidance on what your BMI means for your individual health.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about BMI, weight loss medications, and our free UK tools.
What is 67.1 kg in pounds?
67.1 kg equals 147.9 pounds (often rounded to 148 lbs). To convert kg to pounds, multiply by 2.20462. You can use our free weight converter on this page to switch between kilograms, pounds, and stone instantly.
Is 67.1 kg a healthy weight?
It depends on your height. At 5ft 6in or taller, 67.1 kg is typically in the healthy weight range. At shorter heights, it may fall into the overweight category. Use our free BMI calculator above to find your personal BMI and NHS category.
What is 67.1 kg in stone and pounds?
67.1 kg converts to approximately 10 stone and 8 pounds (10st 8lbs). This is the standard UK measurement used by the NHS and commonly discussed with GPs about body weight.
How do I calculate BMI from weight and height?
BMI is calculated by dividing your weight in kilograms by your height in metres squared (BMI = kg ÷ height²). For example, at 173 cm, 67.1 kg gives a BMI of 22.4. Our BMI calculator on this page does this automatically.
Does BMI tell the whole story about weight and health?
No. BMI is useful as a screening tool but has limitations — it doesn't account for muscle mass, bone density, or where fat is stored. Waist circumference and overall health markers (blood pressure, cholesterol) are also important. Your GP can assess your health holistically.
